I have a nephew who is stationed in Japan, and a friend’s son was just sent to Iraq this week. God Bless all military personnel, their families, and those we have lost.

My brother is currently supporting our efforts in Afghanistan and my father, retired Air Force, served during the Vietnam War – my sincere and undying gratitude to those who have served, who are serving, and those that have fallen, and to their families.

I come from a military family…while few were “career” and we were not entailed to one specific branch, we all felt the duty to respect and honor our country and to serve… My Husband was appointed to the US Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs My Dad was a Master Sergeant in the Army…his last detail was John F. Kennedy’s funeral. My Father in Law was a Master Sergeant in the Army, was assigned to CID in the Pentagon and ultimately served as Secretary of State Gen. George Marshall’s personal stenographer & chauffeur. My Grandfather was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy

  1. A beautiful tribute to the valiant soldiers that have served and are currently serving in the services. Long live the patriotism and freedom we so love and those that preserve that peace!

  2. All I can say is thank you to our military personnel, to our veterans and to all of their families. Because of your sacrifice and dedication, my family is free and my family is safe. I never forget that.
